Wanderers

Let God heal your heart. He longs to. He calls you to come as you are. He wants you in all your mess. He wants you. If it was only you in this world, God would still have died on the cross for you. He still would have bled. He still would have been tested. Done all the trials of life, still been hurt, yet he still would have loved. Let that sink in.

James 5 v 19- 20 19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you wanders away from the truth, and someone helps that person come back, 20 remember this: Anyone who brings a sinner back from the wrong way will save that sinner’s soul from death and will cause many sins to be forgiven.

Come out of sadness
From wherever you’ve been
Come broken hearted
Let rescue begin
Come find your mercy
Oh sinner come kneel
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are

There’s hope for the hopeless
And all those who’ve strayed
Come sit at the table
Come taste the grace
There’s rest for the weary
Rest that endures
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t cure

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are
Come as you are
Fall in his arms
Come as you are
There’s joy for the morning
Oh sinner be still
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are
Come as you are
Come as you are

He lifts you out, puts a song in your head and purpose in your heart. He enables us to walk with courage no matter what befalls us. Never ever be ashamed to come to God as you are because he sees you in all your pain, failing and agony. His heart breaks for you, he sheds a tear for his heart for his children is to know joy, love and peace. So let him into your heart. Allow him to come and piece you back together in order to make you stronger than you ever were before.

The second part of that verse is the great commission. The task we have been given. We carry a gift all year round, but our light is rekindled when we think of the Christmas spirit. This Christmas and new year I hope you deliver the best gift of all to the world. The gift of the father. Of love, salvation, peace and Joy.

All my love x
