14 He said, ‘The God of our ancestors chose you long ago to know his plan, to see the Righteous One, and to hear words from him. 15 You will be his witness to all people, telling them about what you have seen and heard. 16 Now, why wait any longer? Get up, be baptised, and wash your sins away, trusting in him to save you.’ – Acts 22 v 14- 17
Our God is God of the immediate, but he is also a God of the patient. When God tells you to get up and go its easy to not… yet we are chosen just as Paul to know him, maybe not his plan, but to hear from him, to follow him and to fill the purpose he has destined for us. Patience matters when God hasn’t spoken to you yet. The Israelites waited for forty years to get to the promise land, because it wasn’t Gods timing and his timing is perfect. One month into the new year and maybe you feel like something bigger should have happened this year. Don’t be down-trodden. His love is better than anything the world could give, his plans are bigger than your wildest dreams and you and him together are stronger than any trial. Trust him to save you. He will. He has. He wants to, get up, pick up what you’ve got and go into the world and start being the capacity to change lives for the kingdom of God. He loves you dearly.
All my love x
