11 Abraham and Sarah were very old. Since Sarah was past the age when women normally have children, 12 she laughed to herself, “My husband and I are too old to have a baby.”
13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘I am too old to have a baby’?
I think sometimes we are exactly like Sarah, we laugh at God, sometimes not literally but with our actions and choices. We look at him and say I am small and this thing you want me to is incredible large. Sometimes the things aren’t even big, they are tiny! Yet fear overwhelms us and we can not complete the task. For years I have prayed for my unbelieving family. I go to church meetings- I pray, I fast- I pray, I wake up- I pray, I go to sleep- I pray and there has been no breakthrough. No change. Well not in my eyes anyway, yet as I continue to live for God my family notice that, the comments become less, and my views are listened to and honoured. That in itself is its very own miracle. Sometimes we don’t see the miracles around us, the little things that contribute to the big things. Stand on whatever he has given you to do- through the trials, doubts and discouragement, because it will bring Joy, hope and purpose. Maybe you will get to be part of someone’s salvation. God has already done it, he is just waiting for the perfect time to reveal it to us.
All my love x
