In a world of hurt and pain we think this is all there is.That this is it. But its not. I promise. There is a beautiful world coming, and its here. As we pray heaven come and your will be done, do we really mean it? Are we willing to sacrifice our lives to make his kingdom come? That is a real question because if your not, you need a real Jesus check. He loves this world so so much. That he sent his son to die. To DIE. Sometimes that gets so polluted, but just think about it differently. Would you die for this world? Would you die for that person who makes your life awful. Jesus did. He sacrificed himself for the worst so we could become the best. He came down so we could come up.
In numbers God calls the leaders of the tribes to leave a walking stick at God’s presence. He says he will choose a man and his stick will begin to grow leaves. But when they went back to find the stick they discovered “It had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.”
Three things we can take from this:
- Jesus blesses obedience, the Israelites at this time were moany, unthankful people.. (remind you of anyone). So in order to stop them complaining God worked a miracle. Which could only happen if Moses listened.
- Jesus is a miracle worker. He still is. He loves to bless his children.
- God wants to give us more than we could ever imagine.
In its time everything becomes beautiful. We think all we can do through Christ is grow leaves but God says no. I want you to bud, blossom and produce fruit. You are filled with so much more than you could ever imagine. You are powerful and if you really understood that power this world would be changed because of your new found identify in God which leads to obedience, which leads to miracles and fruit. This world is truly beautiful, filled with incredible people. who need what you carry. You are the change in this generation. Believe it.
Psalm 121 I look up to the hills,
but where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let you be defeated.
He who guards you never sleeps.
4 He who guards Israel
never rests or sleeps.
5 The Lord guards you.
The Lord is the shade that protects you from the sun.
6 The sun cannot hurt you during the day,
and the moon cannot hurt you at night.
7 The Lord will protect you from all dangers;
he will guard your life.
8 The Lord will guard you as you come and go,
both now and forever.
