light

How many of us hide our faith? How many of us don’t think we hide our faith but we actually do. What bout that comforting word you had for someone, that act of kindess, that sunday service that you knew would suit exactley what they were going through? I don’t know but I don’t believe im the only one. Sometimes its just easier right?

14 “You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 And people don’t hide a light under a bowl. They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. 16 In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven

– Matthew 5 v 14-16

Yes we’ve all heard this passage before but have we ever really developed what it means. Your’e faith is like a city on a hill. At home where I live you can drive to a place called top of the hill (funny enough) and you can look down and see our whole city. Our faith is just like that. To build faith it might take us a long winding journey but the view from the top is worthy of it all. God speaks to your’e heart. Yes he speaks to your pastors, your’e christian friends, but he speaks to you. LIsten carefully. Never underestimate the power of God working in and through your life.

God calls us to put our light on a lampstead so that it shines for everyone in our house to see. Where is your house? Whether your’e parents are christians or not they need the encouragement of jesus. School, work, with your spouse, gym, your childs birthday party, your church. Whatever it may be – where you find yourslef is your home for that time and look what happens if we let our light be seen, all the people around us will praise our father in heaven.

Look how it says see. Not experience, not do, but see. How by just seeing your faith they will praise your father. That is a promise, that we should always hold on to. Darling you are stiched together by love, blessed beyond measure and provided for without doubt.

He got you, so you got this.

  1. I am not ashamed of the gospel. I will let this light of mine SHINE. it is only when the people who live in darkness see the light that they begin to have hope, that is the start of them coming to faith. Bless You
