Food, Fashon, Tv

31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 32 Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— 33 even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved

– 1 corinthians 10 v 31-33

Do you eat and drink for the glory of God? I know maybe that sounds a litle crazy but honestly do you? God dwells inside of us and this is not some over melodramatic “God dwells inside of me so I can’t do this, that, and whatever” but God asks us to bring glory to him thats the simple truth.
To honour him. Soetimes we are so caught up in everything that we don’t honour God. Honour God with what you eat. You only get one body, its the vessel the lord has give you for you to bless others. Love on your body. Its an incredible thing. It keeps you alive, it does incredible things.
23 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. 24 No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
– 1 corinthians 10 v 23-24
Sometimes we get so caught up in our free choice that we forget the love of abba. The love of our father. How many times have we done something just because we wanted to. Wore clothes that we knew might have been inappropriate and felt a little awkward, ate 1 million pounds worth of rubbish and felt horrible afterwards,  How many times have we turned around after that tv marathon and felt joyless. Yes time out to relax and chill has to be done, but its getting the balance right. The balance between wearing what you want and knowing your honouring God, eating as much chocolate that satisfys and honouring God. Honour God in the small and he will give you the big things. Only you know your own balance. And guess what he knows it even better.
Have the courage to say no today in order to honour God.
Know that theres a family behind you cherring you on.
