His plan has never been & never will be to leave us stranded and alone. Too often we tell ourselves lies. Wondering why a faithful God has left us. Thats just not good enough. Ever. God has never left us straded or alone. You see feelings tell us lies, Faith speaks truth.

The angel spoke to the women: “There is nothing to fear here. I know you’re looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said. Come and look at the place where he was placed.

I don’t know about you but if I had just been through the emotional blits of watching the man I put my trust into die, secondly buring him and then seeing a glowing white angel thing. I would probobally cry, scream and wet myself all at the same time. And this angel tells them theres nothing to be afraid of.

Then he has the cheek to tell them Jesus isn’t there when they literally  watched with their own eyes Jesus’ dieing. You see what we fail to understand is that death couldn’t hold Jesus. He demolished that stronghold. If death couldn’t keep hold of Jesus neither can your fear and feelings hold you captive.

When Jesus went to the cross he broke free, demolished every sin in our life, he fufilled every promise, he didn’t just break free from death, he conquered and has full victory over it. His love conquered and still conquers all.

Let the cross remind you today that because of his empty toom the toom filled with all your sin, shame, guilt and fear is no longer there either. Death couldn’t hold him, so how could your fear and failures ever hold you captive – when he lives in you.

The cross is freedom. Just like when Mary Magdalene went looking for jesus after his death and found him. He will be found near you too. He is always faithful, always present, always in control. Even if sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. He has victory. So you do too.
