Running on Empty?

I know you’re tiered and all you want to do is just stop, but for some reason the hecticness of life just keeps going on. At these times sometimes you think maybe it would be easier not to be a christian. All of a sudden your choice to live a life of purity and righteousness feels like a burden.

But I don’t want you to feel guilty for feeling like his, God does not want you to feel shame, but to realise something needs to change. Its easy to have days, weeks or even seasons like this when life gets a little too much and slowly God gets pushed to the circumference of our priorities. This is hard, but now you’ve pin-pointed the problem-how can you change it?

I want you to think back to the first time you fell in love with Jesus. That moment when you realised that He though t you were worth dying for and through His death he stripped you of all guilt, shame, inadequacy and sin. Remember? For me I think back to that moment and “Amazing Grace” plays through my mind. Listen to it, those beautiful, honest, authentic words always remind me that we dont have to hide from Jesus. Even in those times when our faith seems to run dry we can come to God and tell Him that, He won’t condemn you He’ll listen. Our God is a God of abundance who is ready to renew you and remind you all over again of how flipping amazing he is!
