His Love>Our Mistakes

We all have those moments when we know we’ve done something wrong we’ve made a mistake. We look back in hindsight and realise that wasn’t the best idea. People say hindsight is the best sight but only if use it in the right way. When we fail we need to recognise it yes, but then we need to move on.

In 1 Corinthians 5:17 Paul writes “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” Good makes us new again and again He gives us countless second chances.

Really let that sink in. Sometimes we mess up and begin to drown in our guilt, feeling like God’s disappointed in us. I really urge you to shut those voices down when you begin to hear them-this is not God. Replace these voices with the words of Romans 8:1 which says ” Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”, you see Jesus never condemns US, He condemns our SIN.

Maybe you’ve done something recently that you regret and you can’t shake off that guilt. If that’s you I encourage you to turn to the cross, to your loving father who sees you as perfect and worthy. Your father who loves you no matter what, nothing can change how much He loves you-you can never mess that up.
